Default Series one Wood dash removal

I have a 74' that needs to have the wood dash refinished. I'm thinking I'll just take it out and take it to a cabinet shop or maybe even do it myself but first I need to remove it. Any one know where a good tutorial is?

Or if anyone has any other good suggestions to replace or otherwise improve the look of the wood that would be awesome.

I would suggest buying the Shop Manual CD, which is available for your model car. dismantling a Jaguar dash by "ear" without instructions always leads to big troubles later.
Check on eBay for the CD or Jaguar parts suppliers, they're all over the place. The CDs are not so expensive and will save you lots of headaches. You can print any pages needed and go to work at the car.

Get a good supply of really sticky, stick-on vinyl labels, placing a label on each wire or connector you disconnect and writing on the label clear notes where it connects. That will help you get everything perfectly like it was.

Get a box of small zipper sandwich bags, to place screws or brackets as you remove them by sections, putting a paper inside telling you where they came from exactly.

for wood restoration, check with Saul at British Autowood | Dashboard and Woodwork Restoration in Orlando Florida, he's an artist redoing Jaguar wood, and he is a Jaguar owner. I know him personally. Also you can check his page in Facebook, he's constantly offering products for Jags.
