Default Silicone vs rubber coolant hoses ?

Anyone with experience on both? I like the look of the rubber hoses…
are silicone better?

It depend on how you define "better". I would definitely prefer an OEM rubber hose to an aftermarket silicone hose. Be aware that silicone hoses require different clamps than rubber hoses.

Ford used silicon hoses on the police version of their cars, and rubber on the regular production version, but those are hoses specifically engineered for that application. I don't think the aftermarket hoses are the same quality.
