Question Spring Color Codes

Can someone please explain to me the meaning of spring color codes?

At the moment Nix's rear springs are black with a red stripe.

The Boge springs/shocks we just bought, specified for this car, are black with a green stripe.

Besides brand, what's the difference?

The colors codes are just a method of instant identification for the parts manufacturer and, later, the men and women on assembly lines who grab parts and put 'em together.

Cheers

OK, so I shouldn't stress about the green stripe.

Thank you, Doug!
