I have a 1986 XJ6. One morning if wouldn't start, called a mechanic down and he said it was my starter. Is this something I could buy and replace myself? Or do I need to pay to have someone do it? Thanks

If you've replaced a starter on any other car you can do it on your Ser III XJ6. Not the easiest but certainly not the worst....not by a longshot.

If this is your first time then you might want someone looking over your shoulder

Cheers
