Newbie here with a stereo question. I have recently purchased a 1996 XJ 6 and would like to place a new stereo deck so I have access to CD's or at least an Ipod. Can anyone recommend a nice unit to place in this 1996 model with small modifications to the dash? Should I possibly look for a used trunk unit? There is currently one on ebay for roughly 100 bucks. Thank you

 

Try posting in the X300 forum, the one for your car. FWIW, I think the stereo units on this are the DIN fitting spec. I don't know whether the X300 series of XJs ever had a trunk mounted CD unit.
