The throttle cable was replaced and ever since then it seems the gas pedal needs a little more force to push on, not to accelerate but just in general. It seems stiff compared to any other vehicle.

 

look at both ends of the cable first, make sure it is not binding anywhere at the pedal, or through the firewall, or at the intake linkage.

then look at the travel it takes from where it exits at the firewall to the intake connection.

just like a speedometer cable, it has to have very smooth turns from point A to point B, otherwise it binds or becomes stiff.
