Stripping an air injection pump
Hi all,
i am attempting to strip the air injection pump from my 1978 Daimler V12. The intention is to gut the unit and only to have the shell remaining to act as a tensioning idler for the vee belt.
I have removed the rear cover of the housing but am not able to strip it further to remove the vanes.
I assumed the shaft would simple press out of the front of the unit. I am reluctant to apply to much force.
Any help greatly appreciated
