Default V12 powered Ford model A

Interesting car for sale on Bringatrailer.com. A 1930 Ford coupe with Jaguar V12 power. Check out the dual quad fuel injection set-up on the top of the engine. Can't really see the intake manifold but it must be a thing of beauty. Here is the Link

Got it. Stumbled on first, then conformed here, thanks !!!

Oh yeah a real engineering masterpiece. got a bit of a kick at reading the messages. slick except fpor one smart a... . I would have responded in the rumble seat, although that car does not have one!!

In one view, I wondered how the longish V12 fit in a bay made for a "smallish" four. although many got V8's *' to fit, a 12 !!! Then a side view. Stretched, confirmed in the text. but, oh so skillfully.

The cowl tank seems to have departed....

I'd drive that car any day, anywhere!!!!

23 grand. but compared to anew car with those features and sans the classs…

Thanks for sharing the treat, even in the imagination...

Carl.

gotta love those American hot rodders,!
someplace back yrs ago, there was a 1933 FORD two door sedan with a V12 Allison aircraft engine in it, he used it at Bonneville races, it was a dangerous affair at best !
i met the guy showed me pix of it!

tune up ? No, not in any one's skill range. Just coordinate all the throttle openings. set any low speed needles to the same 1 1/2 out. Call it "tuned" if it runs and does not stall!!!

BTW, it sold for $41,000. About a $10k premium vs a normal small block model A hot rod.

We see hot rods quite often with Jag rear ends in them , but the V12 up front certainly makes it a unique machine. The quality of the work is something to see.
