i have mutiple issues with my xj series 3 V12s Lucas ignition m/y 1987.
main issue, right bank not firing.
What I found is a disconnected vacuum line, where does I connect to?
don’t expect it to solve the main issue, it’s a first step.
Thanks for for the reply. Will try it tomorrow. It’s 01:44 in the Netherlands.
In regard to the bank, all injectors are clicking so I think they work.
what I just found when changing the fuel filter Could he the related to the problem.
the fuel from the filter looked like choclatemilk must be quite some rust in the tanks and probably in the rest of the fuel system.
Dirty fuel and injectors are not good. I can surmise that while the injectors click and try to inject, the nozzles are clogged and no spray occurs. but, why only on one bank???
I lean to Doug's diagnosis.
But just perhaps, both may be present.
In any case, clean fuel is a must....
Oh, a loos hose can cause a fast idle. Might be good here. keep it running, only on 6 of it's 12... Naah, connect it or plug it... I only suggest the latter in the possibility that the bellows leaks. A possible third issue.

OK, good that all injectors are clicking but obviously you have some work ahead of you on the fuel system, flushing and cleaning....which might involve removing the tanks and possibly replacing them if they are too rusty to be cleaned.
I agree with Carl that some of the injectors might be clogged but why only one bank is certainly odd.
My gut feeling at this point is the injectors will have to come out for cleaning. You'll want to clean all 12, not just the 6 that are in question
I opened the fuel filter, outgoing nozzle was clean. Tonight i will undo the fuel line in order to check the color of the fuel. Perhaps I can see if any of the rust has made it to the injectors.
Ok, fuel line disconnected from the front, no discoloration.
Maybe to easy still it looks good to me.
next step, taking out the tanks and clean or replace, stainless would be nice :-)
Just read the post, I would be looking at the electrical circuit that fires the injectors - maybe the reason that only one bank is missing - broken ground wire etc. causing problems with only relevant injectors ....one bank
