Default VJ12 H.E Fuel pressure regulators

Hi guys, I'm currently restoring 1982 Daimler Double Six. I have a question about fuel pressure regulators. I've read, that you can get rid of one of them and there are no side effects and engine runs smoother. Which one is it? Does anyone can help me with part numbers?
If I understand correctly LH one is 0280160234 / 73239B / EBC 2606 running at 3.0 bar - and this one stays,
and RH is
0280160229 / 73232B / EAC 4864 - this one is to be removed?
Did I get it right?
Thanks in advance

'Tis the RH/inlet regulator that can be eliminated. I wouldn't count on smoother running by simply removing it unless, of course, it is faulty in some way.

This assumes you have the HE engine. You almost certainly do. But the Pre-HE/HE change was mid 1981 and model year designations can become blurry given country-by-country differences in these things.

Cheers
DD

Have a read. I wrote this looong ago.

The 2nd PDF is a "maybe". Most I have done have required a little trimming.
