Does anyone happen to have fuel pressure specs?
Hi SirJag
Testpoint statement in a July 2011 thread:
The fuel rail pressure should be 41 psi plus/minus a couple, mostly meter error.
Here is PDF file about Fuel System Pressure Check for 2001 XJ (308) extracted from JTIS:

Thanks for the numbers, BlackX300VDP, and for the PDF, Jim!
My mechanic mentioned that you can have sufficient pressure, but insufficient volume of fuel pumped. Other than simply checking pressure, is there any other way to test a fuel pump?
In other words, if you get the correct amount of pressure, does that necessarily mean there's no problem with the fuel pump?
Thank you,
SirJag

Hi
SirJag have you ever replaced the fuel filter that is located just above the rear axle on the driver side? It could be restrict the fuel flow.
Look at post# 4 in this other thread:

Hope you are able to resolve your rough idle issue soon.

Good idea to change the fuel filter. It will help your fuel pump last longer. The thing about volume and pressure might apply to electricity (voltage and amperage), but I don't think it applies in the case of fuel, unless your fuel lines have developed arteriosclerosis - narrowing of the fuel lines.
