A quick question.
What’s the difference between the windscreen seal (BD48848) and the screen rubber insert strip (BD48847).
My car is laid up in storage right now and I can’t look at the installation.
I have to remove the windscreen and have the cracked A pillars repaired, and was trying to get the parts together.

As I understand it, the Seal locates the glass into the body opening and the insert locks the seal to the screen glass (and perhaps adds form locking forces between the seal and the body surround). Just my take on it.
