I swear my wiring diagrams aren’t correct —both of them. But maybe it’s me?

can anyone ID this wire? Passenger side (US car) I can’t even tell the color, dirty white? Pale yellow? Obs not either since those aren’t wiring diagram choices.

and for a bonus, the red wire with yellow stripe beside it?

 

Red/yellow is front fog lights.

It could be white, which is ignition switched power. Perhaps to the coil? Can you scrape the wire a little with the edge of a knife blade to see what the true colour of the insulation is?

the red/yellow wire tripped me up because some idiot (me) previously cut the fuse end on the radiator support and replaced it with a section of solid red wire. Doh.

The dirty white is in fact white, but has that clear coating that fades. And I’m tracking it down now, either for coil or may be connected to inertia switch for fuel.
