The ones advertised on eBay are, from what I see in length, listed incorrectly for the sedan. They look like coupe parts. Yes they are a mirrored pair, Left & Right. Not perfect, but if your missing one, a matched, not quite right, set would serve you well until an XJC dies and gives up the one you need.

 

SCD, thank you for the part numbers. Those are correct. To close the loop on this thread, the correct part numbers for the '75-78 XJ Coupe seat recline lever/handle is BD42677 for the RH and BD42678 for LH. Below are some pictures of the coupe handle and the sedan (BD33992) handle. RH Coupe handle is on the bottom.
