My XJ 12 pulls to the right when braking...calipers checked and brake pads appear to be okay...any help would be appreciated.

Had that a few times, balljoints siezed will cause that.

Recently had the same with the Black S Type.

"Appear to be OK" is not terribly convincing How were they checked?

Anyhow, I certainly agree with Grant on balljoints being a likely culprit. I'll just add that worn out control arm bushings....or, really, any worn suspension parts or subframe parts that allow the suspension geometry to shift while braking ....could be at fault as well

Cheers

And, of course, a seized rear caliper can influence the steering as well.

Thanks to all for replies.... I think problem has been solved...the mechanic changed the right front caliper again and it seems to ...(work).

Check the rubber lines too! If the lines are old they can expand and create same problem.
