Xj6 S3 Ignition (engine) just shuts down
Hi All,
Car hasn't stalled once since last posts.
Engine flutters a little at idle, but doesn't drop dramatically like it used to before dying.
This last weekend I got into the boot and checked / cleaned the connectors to the ECU and the 7EM module (DAC2586) which did have some corrosion and oxidation on a couple of points.
Car runs a little better, so I guess what has been said about loose / dirty connections holds true.
I have noticed that on cold start up though, the tacho needle flicks around the dial now.
Now I'm suspecting a voltage spike somewhere, but don't know where to look for that one.
Cheers,
Nigel

Anyhow.....
Clean/tighten all relevant connections. I'd begin with fuses, fuse clips, and the two "+" junctions posts on the firewall.
Cheers
