Default 12 bolt Jag Diff??

Years back in my Corvette days I considered this place for a 12 bolt diff conversion on my 68 BB . Mine came stock with a 4.11-10 bolt . Anyway, I remembered this place in Idaho USA that does 10 bolt conversions to 12 bolt on early Corvettes , Tom's Differentials. My point is MAYBE he does Jag diff's, don't know. Just passing this along for you guys with ?,??? HP

The diff itself is super strong. It's basically an iron Dana 44. It's got a heavy duty case and large side bearings. When applying copious amount of power other components of the rear driveline / suspension will go boom first. As for the diff.... for high speed racing...Just need to keep them cool which is somewhat easy using a oil circulation pump, oil cooler and properly plumbed diff cover. For drag racing... just about everything else besides the diff will fail before the diff itself.

Drag racing "just about everything else will fail before the diff". I wonder why GM went to a 12 bolt , Ford 9inch and Mopar Dana 60 in all their high performance cars except Corvette. I do agree the Jag IRS, in stock form is the weak link. It's all irrelevant since Jaguar wasn't designed for 6K rpm hole shots

Corvettes were raced competitively where every pound or kg matters. The corvette diffs were usually aluminum and only as strong as they needed to be at the time in order to keep weight down.
