14mm or 16mm inner tie rods?
My 1983 xjs needs a new rack and pinion.
The parts stores are listing two different applications, one with 14mm inner tie rods and another with 16mm inner tie rods?
Is one more common than the other? Maybe for a specific package or option?
Any easy way to tell which one I’ve got? Or will it make any difference as long as the outer tie rods are the same?

parts list only seems to list the one inner tie rod JLM409 but l do know there was a change to outer rod joints at some time.

Perfect! That’s what I was hoping to hear! I was just concerned that there was a significant difference between the two and therefore I would have to determine which size I had and replace it with the same size.
