Has anyone seen this ad on Hemmings?

The owner is crazy. Look at the pictures. This car is really rough and he keeps calling it Pristine!

I am curios of others opinion.

Why does that car even have back seat? Its too small for children.

But yeah, the paint is way beyond "light crazing".

Paint is bad, its dirty, no underhood or interior pics.

Very rough exterior. Bonnet and boot lid, as well as both bumpers at least need repaint.
And what's this about a Bose radio?!

Can't see underhood, no pictures of the door VIN sticker. Meh.

 

Not everybody who sells a car knows enough to price it properly. or even when to sell. Right before Christmas very buyers this time of year. Maybe he’s going off some guide or what his buddy at the bar told him.
When it doesn’t sell for a while a really smart guy can go and pick it up for a fair price, which will have to reflect the poor presentation and over estimation of its real value.
I have realitor friends who actually specialize in over priced houses. There they wait a year or so and buy it right, then flip it.

 

And I am sure all the maintenance is up to date, with a hood that doesn’t open. “Would benefit from an oil change” is an understatement. The $5000 offer is closer to what it’s worth.

 

This car showed up in one of the FB groips, new owner is getting it back on the road. No engine bay pics because hood was stuck. Also confirmed it was sitting outside for at least the last 6 months. Has some kind of an electrical problem. I hope he didnt pay asking price.

Jaguar XJS V-12 Owner’s Club

 

I went to Hemmings and was surprised to find 78 XJS's for sale.
I never would have guessed there were that many out there for sale.
And 3 of them are asking over 50K!

 

the ones over 50k are in Europe, take that into consideration.

anything over 30k stateside is a stretch.

 

The seller of the one I posted was a real jerk. Lied through his teeth about the condition of the car. I would love to know what someone really paid for it. That car needed a lot of work and a V12 would kill you since it was not maintained.
