Hi, I have replaced my water pump with success but I have 2 wires coming out above the air pump and I don't know where they are meant to go. Also any revs over about 3000 produce much backfiring and misfiring.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

 

Hi, what are the color of the wires?

As for the bad running over 3000 rpm, are both coils connected?

It certainly seems like a coil problem. Wires are black and white. I have a single .6 ohm coil.
I have a couple of opus coils sitting out the back, are they worth a try

 

Check my suggestions in your Intro thread in the New Members Area, coz I went there before here, oops.

Single 0.6 is probably not quite ballsy enough. I run single 0.9 and no issues.

Grab ONE of the Opus things and wire it +ve to +ve, and -ve to -ve, and see if anything changes.
