Default 1991 Custom Collector Edition Convertible

My first post here. I ran across a 1991 XJS Custom Collector Edition Convertible down the road from me 55K miles, second owner, the owner has three service stations, so I think it's a well maintained car. The odd thing about the car it that it looks a lot like an XJR-S. It has the gold Jaguar on the hood, but also has a spoiler, plastic headlamp covers, and rims that look like the XJR-S. If it is an XJR-S in good condition, would the $9,500 price tag be a steal?

Ok, I just realized how stupid that question was, as there are so few of the XJR-S models in the world. I'll go take some pictures, and post them. The styling is really throwing me off, as I've gone through several hundred pictures of that model year, and nothing really comes close to the color and detail of this model.

I found some pictures of one that looks similar, with the exception of the collector badge on the back, and the rims.

Mileage of 55,000 sounds good, but does the service record back up the mileage ? If the condition seems to match the mileage it could be worth it for you. Forget the "Custom Collector" bit, that's just Jaguar trying to sell some more cars by putting on a fancy name and a few other very minor bits 'n pieces. The key thing is it's a convertible, and there certainly are not many of these around compared to the coupes.

How do other similar XJS convertibles on sale compare on price ?
