Hi all,

Since I got the tank out and soaking in vinegar to get rid of rust and gunk, I was contemplating to upgrade to the early XJ8 style pump. The previous owner had issues with fuel pressure due to the pump holding fixture which holds the spring, rubber seal and pump outlet together broke off. The other concerns are the old brittle fuel socks and its availability, high cost of pump housing and availability, compatibility with NOS parts and new fuels, documented fuel odor in trunk due to the plastic wire connector in the evap loss flange leaking. Has anybody upgraded to a different style pump with success?

Current parts I'm having is:
1993 XJ6 Evap Loss flange-appears upgraded and fuel pump housing.
2001 Evap loss flange, fuel pump with sump and internal fuel level sending unit. Need modification to tank to make it work.

Did you do some type of swap and/or upgrade, or stick with the stock
