Default 1992 V12 crank no start

Hi,
i just got a 1992 Jaguar xjs V12. I don’t know much about precious ownership. It was going to be junked so I got it really cheap. At first it wouldn’t do anything. The alarm system was sitting on the floor. I by passed the ignition switch with a push button. The car started and ran great. IPurred like a kitten. Ididn’t drive it but started it regularly for about a month. I decided to take it for a spin. I drove it around the block and it shut off 3 times and now it won’t start. It is cranking but now I am getting not getting spark from the coils. I replaced the CPS but nothing. I smell fuel but no spark. I tried starting fluid but nothing. Any ideas? Flywheel sensor maybe? My first Jag! Ugh!!!

Try jumping the inertial cutoff switch.
It's under the dash passenger side A pillar.
Just pull the connectors, join them together and leave them that way.

If it cranks its not the inertial switch. Probably something in the ignition system has given up. Have you checked any of that? HT leads, coils, distributor? They'll all suspect at this age and on a car that has presumably not had much maintenance. You'll also want to address the fuel hoses between the rail and the injectors. They have a nasty habit of leaking and starting fires when they're old.

You're going to have a lot of things to catch up on, but don't feel bad. Its worth it when its done!

There is a connection just in front of the firewall, that has a red/white wire. In my 91, the terminal broke and I had the same problem until I replaced it

Can the igniter be the issue? I drilled it open an it’s corroded! Is there a way to test?

That is the resistor pack which prevents the injectors burning out by reducing the current after the initial opening current.
