Default 1992 XJS Front Brake Hoses

!992 XJS Convertible with V12 engine, VIN SAJNW484NC183102
Wanted to change out front brake hoses, what a nasty job, as brakes stick sometimes.
VIN SAJNW484NC183102
Ordered some before I took off the old and found the new ones had MALE ends whereas mine are female.
Checked on line and all parts catalogues said male is correct.
Located many on ebay and Amazon that looked similar with female ends but none gave the length, 16.9 inches, and no one would measure one.
Thought I would buy 2 for a 1995/6 XJS and chance it. Amazing - perfect fit.
So do I have an oddball car, are all the parts suppliers wrong, did the factory run out of male hoses when mine was built or was it a Friday afternoon car?
Just interested
Norman
PS I f you feed the engine cold air that hasn't gone through the radiator it runs happily on regular gas on normal driving.

Norman,

the front flexi is the same on all facelift XJS from 91 through to end of production.

It always makes sense to get the right part numbers from Jaguars classic parts website rather than rely on aftermaket part suppliers.

Glad you got it sorted.

Cheers

Paul
