1992 XJS V12 Reliability?
Many thanks Paul and all good points My X351 is back on the road now, and I took her out this evening. It is just a 3.0 litre supercharged XJL, but in all honesty I think it is just too quick for a normal person. It feels like a five point something second 0 - 60 kind of car. Whoever needs that kind of speed? Don't get me wrong it's an amazing car, but oh my... And the 5.0 liter is apparently capable of 174 mph and under 5.0 seconds 0 - 60...

Yup the 3.0 litre is between 5.1 and 5.4 seconds it seems. Nuts !!

I think a beautifully wafty (seven second) XJS will suit my friend and me much better... I'm getting very old.

I am the second owner of my 96' 4.0 Celebration XJS roadster going on now 24 years. I believe this was the only configuration available in the U.S. for the last year. Bought it in 2000 with 19,000 miles. It now has 55,000 miles. It's as much fun to drive now as when I first bought it. The only big issue I've had was letting it sit in the garage under a dust cover for too many years. Just starting it up and running through the gears occasionally. And I eventually paid the price for no-drive syndrome. ALL MY FAULT. But, quickly got her back in shape. She runs wonderful. In fact, once she's warmed up good, you can't even feel the engine vibrate at a stop light. I think the last year, 96' has the best looking interior. The 4.0 has plenty of power for the highway and around town. Come to think of it, she's due to go for a spin. Yipee !!!
