Hi Jaglady
This is only a 'Clue' from a Post in 2007!
The Link to the 'Technical Bulletin' doesn't appear to be working, so make of it what you will

I had the same issue with my 93 XJS coupe. You need to remove the seat back panel. Simple to do with removing the screws holding it in place. Once removed, you will notice the whole lumbar system is controlled by plastic tubing. This tubing is the same as any fish aquarium. Nothing special to order. In my case, the tubing had dried and cracked. I replaced everything to include the tubing that goes into the satchel that holds the lumbar motor. The motor does come out- but only a few inches. You also will experienced the insulation on the rear of the seat area will be dried and flaky. This is all due to the age of the vehicle seats. I vacuumed the debris before replacing the rear seat panel. Whole process took about an hour. I just took my time and made sure all the tubing was replaced, the motor was operational and most important that tubing connection going to the lumbar units in the seat were firm. There is only one tube controlling the motion of the lumbar unit. My seat now works like a charm. Good luck.
