Default 1994 XJS vs. 1995 XJS

Guys , i need your help.
Someone said: "...i love 1994 XJS coupe but i love 1995 XJS body lines even more...?"
i thought the body was the same, or am I misteken?
Please tell your thoughts.Do you see any differences in 1995-96 body vs. 1994?
Im talking about coupes.
I love the side molding i saw on one 1995 XJS, but seems like they are not all had that feature...
I want to buy that molding for my 1994 coupe. Where would i get it?
Please help~!

All the face lift cars has the same basic body lines but at some point (maybe 1995?) they changed the bumpers from the older style chrome type to the more modern-ish body colored bumper covers....which makes a fairly dramatic change in overall appearance, as do the wide body mouldings.

Cheers

My 95 couple does not has side molding. I have been looking for side molding online but couldn't find suitable one. May be the dealer has it but it's going to cost.

It would appear that you fellows are talking about the TWR body kit that came with the XJR-S of 1988-1963, and which can be purchased separately. If you look at any XJR-S you'll see that the body kit does a wonderful job creating a real sporty stance to the already wonderful looks of the XJS as it is. Of course, the facelift model has factory body enhancements that kind of partially hint towards that TWR look, which the pre-facelift cars did not have, but that's just not quite as impressive as the real thing. I would consider installing a TWR kit on my own '94, after all, I already have the XJR-S painted chrome motif out front.

BTW, the body of the three last production years is pretty much the same. What is different is the wheels shape and size. The '94 still had the older fashion, 15" Lattice alloy wheels standard (with the newer 16" 5-spoke alloy wheels available with the Sport Handling Package option). The '95 model came with the 16" 5-spoke alloy wheels standard, but the V12 came with the 16" Diamond-polished, 20-spoke alloy wheels. There were actually more body differences between the six and the twelve than between the '94 and '95 and '96 models. The V12 models of '94 and '95 (hardly any in 1996) came with body color painted mirrors and headlight rims rather than chromed, along with the beautiful rear spoiler, plus the "V12" badge following "XJS" at the right end of the boot lid. The interior also featured a few differences, but that is not the subject right now.

The bumpers changed from black to color code either at the end of the 1993 year model, or very early during the '94 year model production.
