Driving home last week it started running rough. There is a clear misfire. Pulled code from ODBII of P0400. Cleaned Egr and pipe Huis but still had code so I replaced. Code is gone but I have a new code of P1313 (misfire catalytic damage Bank 1). I replaced the spark plugs and switched out the coils to no avail. At idle the engine tries to even-out the idle. Ox sendors? What else do I need to check? Thanks in advance for all your help.

 

Check the insulation on the coil connector wires. I recently replaced the spark plugs in my '95 and upon disconnecting the coil connectors the insulation on the white wires flaked off. So I made a replacement harness (only option). Not difficult and parts for six coil connectors will run about $20.00 plus appropriate high temp auto wire and shipping. The OEM wire is 22 awg, I used 20 awg wire. Don't use the cheap hookup wire from the parts chain stores.
