Default 1995 XJS 4.0 Coupe FS in BRG 74k miles

I have too many cars, and recently added a very expensive new coupe..... so she has to go! Everything works, great car, had all the epoxy bushings added and front sway bar. XJR wheels.

Default Overspray

Well, the passenger side door looks like it was partially re-sprayed. It was like that when I got it. Im guessing from bad scratches, same thing with the passenger side lower quarter panel. Maybe they drove to close to something, all I know for sure is that ALL the panels still have the VIN bar codes on them (original), NO accident history on the CARFAX and that the previous owner said it had ALL original paint but I can tell when I look closely at it that there has been paint work. I'm just trying to be full disclosure to fellow Jaguar enthusiasts.

That's one beautiful car. I never thought of Penta wheels on the XJS, but they fit great on your car, plus look far sportier. I love the chrome Revolvers on my XJS, but they're not as tuned into sports/performance as I see these Penta's. In addition, these Penta's do not appear to need to be chromed to look great, especially with the dark BRG paint. Maybe it is, after all, the way I put it the other day (in another thread) in that it is actually the XJS' very special beauty what enhances the wheels rather than the other way around...

Funny that I've tried my XJR's chrome Asteroids on my XJS and they just do not look good on the XJS, at all.

Oh well, good luck to you and I hope it sells well; so much car for so little money, it's hard to believe.

ajyiii,

Good luck with the sale of the car. I was interested in your comment about all the panels having original VIN bar codes. Whereabouts are these VIN bar codes?

Tks

Under Ford ownership, as with Range Rovers, these identifiable panel precautions were taken as part of anti-theft and also anti theft-and-breaking-for-parts panel traceability. This started AFAIK in the early 1990s and I presume, but do not know, was a system adopted by all manufacturers.

AFA I remember, the one I saw was in the bottom RH corner of the inside of the door.
