Default Are '89 XJSs stock wired for CD in Boot?
Mine has a classic cassette player. Read somewhere that from 89-on they started wiring the cars for a cd changer in boot stock. Didnt know if this was folklore.

Open the boot, look left into the dip/hole under the light, put hand down there, fiddle around a bit.....feel a cable doing nothing special ??? then yup, it's prewired.
