My friends 95 XJS has some idle issues we're working through...for the most part it's normal, but I notice the engine shakes every now and then when at idle and it has some hesitation upon acceleration. I say that as he's now noticed that when he's let's off the pedal at Cruise, the transmission seems to drop to too low of a gear and he's States he feels like he's on the brake. Anyone have some idea as to what's going on there?

 

Change the plugs, clean the injectors, SeaFoam the intake manifold when warm first ☺
