1996 XJS cruise control
Putting out the call for help!!
As some of you know I Finished with the fuel pump install project....successfully as the Kitty purrs very well thank you.
After that I tackled a complete refinish 0f my convertible top system.... Liner, Insulation pad and top....again successful!!!
NOW MY CRUISE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING!!!
I haven’t really driven the car after the pump install as I went directly into complete restoration of the TOP SYSTEM.
I am thinking I might have done something to the speed sensor when I was looking for the brake light sensor.
I get 12v on the connector located in the center console.
I removed the switch and and do my usual resistance test it with my fluke I get 9.0 to 20.0 M ohms of resistance.
Is there another simple way to tell if the switch is good or bad?
As always thanks

Are you certain that the CC doesn't work?
If you aren't driving it how do you know?
The only CC failures I have found are the CC ECU and or cracked rubber bellows and or vacuum lines.
If you find it is the switch, I have an NOS one.

RIVGUY,
Sorry, No Posting
I would be happy to answer any questions you have regarding the removal of the top system.
There is a video by a guy called “COVERCATZ”. He did a couple of videos on removing an xjs convertible top system.
