1996 XJS General Question
I'm of two minds on the hoses. The original hoses were very high quality and I'm not aware of many that have failed. I have seen 25 year old hoses in excellent condition. At the low miles the hose you have doesn't have much heat exposure and that is what seems to kill them.
The replacement hoses on the other hand, don't seem to be nearly as good as the originals. I have seen those fail in 2-3 years of service. If it was my car, I'd check the hose, and if soft and pliable with no obvious bulges or cracks, I'd leave it alone.

Thanks guys for your replies. That helps a bunch. I feel better now. LOL The shop said they checked it out while up on the rack and said it looks good to them. And they are very experienced with this engine. So I will take your advise and not worry about it for now.
