83 Xjs Hardly Runs
We recently purchased a 1983 xjs H.E. and it wouldn't run at all. We replaced the pickup and overhauled the distributer. We changer out ignition module in the black box and checked the coil. We also tested the ECU and as many connections and relays as possible. It had a tune up and ran well before it was stored for about 5 years. It now will start right away but idles at low rpm's and is very rough. When the rpm’s are brought up it sounds great. It is not drivable in its current condition. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dirty injectors?
Are the throttle blades set at the correct .002" gap and the throttle bodies clean?
Will the engine respond to idle speed adjustment at the aux air valve?
