Default 84 XJS HE rear suspension

Hi,

I am looking for complete rear cage - suspension assembly for my 84 xjs...idea is to refurb completely over a few months then change it out with what is in the car now....is the rear suspension out of an 84 xj6 or xj12 the same as the xjs....?

thanks

Darren

No. Not all, indeed maybe not any, of the saloons had the LSD. Otherwise, providing the rear brakes are inboard, all the non differential components are the same, and the diff itself will swap easily as part of the refurb.

Near as I have ever been able to tell all V12 Jags (XJS or XJ12) had limited slip. The only exception I can think of is the 1995-1997 'X300" type XJ12s....which had limited slip as optional, it seems.

Six cylinder XJSs had limited slip as well.

Ser I-II-III XJ6s had limited slip as optional equipment but it was not commonly ordered and it seems that none of the USA market Ser I-II-III XJ6s were so equipped.

Cheers
