'89 XJ-S radio removal?
So I contacted Jaguar about getting a radio code to unlock my tunes, but they need the serial number from the back of the unit. How do I pull the radio out? I don't even know where to begin.
Can you see two little holes about 1" or so apart vertically on either side of the radio facia ? If you can see them, you have a DIN fitting and need to obtain the two U-shaped special tools that slot into these holes, release the catches and allow you to pull out the unit. However there are other tools which are flat and fit into slots.
Best thing is to visit a car radio/stereo specialist.
