you may have a point, I haven't had help when rotating the motor, just multiple partial rotations by myself, but each partial rotation the valves
seem to be in the same position, and visible thru the plug hole.
I'll get the wife at noon to roll it over while I watch each one to verify.
Great Help, thanks!
steve.

Had my son turn the car over at lunch, the valves are not moving, no clicking, doesn't sound like any other internal contact going on.
Can see the cylinders with compression, valves moving smoothly.
Has anyone had success lubricating thru the cam oiler tube to loosen the
stuck valves?
Thanks, Steve.

No compression on one entire bank sounds very suspicious. Sure you might have valves stuck from sitting, but all of them on one side? That suggests to me that moisture has somehow entered the engine and my first thought would be a blown head gasket.
It is relatively easy to pull the intake manifolds off and pull the valve covers. You'll be able to visualize the cam and lifters, and look down the intake ports to see the intake valves.

Is the coolant levels all the way up? If so, I suggest borrowing a cooling system pressure tester and pressurizing the system to see if anything leaks into the cylinders.
If this is only stuck valves you might get lucky and free them up by spraying them with penetrating oil through the ports and tapping on them lightly with a long screwdriver and hammer. The shock and rebound from the valve springs could be enough to loosen them up.
If that doesn't work you have to start thinking about pulling the heads. I had blown headgaskets on mine when I got it and I found it was cheaper to buy a used engine than it was to fix the original. Parts cars are still plentiful and I just picked up another '83 with a good motor for cheap money.

Too pickle a motor you completly fill it with fluid (kerosene) in your case i would tap the valves fiest if they sit tight drop the exhaust and plug it up then fill it through the intake until ful give it some time too losen it up. Buy a gallon of wD40 and add about half too the mix your pouring in or us the mystery oil .yes its a zero tolerance motor as far as Iknow

Trying to be patient!
I finally got my exaust leaks to stop seeping.
Filled thru all plug holes, then pulled injectors, and used as fill points.
i'm topping off daily, not much but enough to see movement.
Going to let it " pickle" thru Monday, then drain.
I'm goint to roll it by hand to see if I have valve movement, should
give me decent picture.
does this sound typical?
Many thanks.

Sorry for the delay, been out of pocket.
Drained the " pickle" fluid, rotated by hand no movement.
Pulled valve cover on the side with 4 stuck valves, can see exactly wich
valves are stuck, cap is depressed for each valve.
poured some fluid on top of the cap, by morning had seeped in.
I'll try to attack from the top, give it a bit, then pull head if need to.
Thanks!!
