89 XJS Rear Calipers and bleeding.
Morning all,
Well Young John and I finally after 5 months have gotten the calipers put back together with new parts tubeing and whatnot.
Is there anything I need to know about bleeding the calipers/brakes.
I was thinging I should at least attempt to fill the calipers from the caliper side first, or from the line at the break.
Suggestions?
TIA
Neil

Hi Neil WOW you are slower than me LOL at least it will be done properly
Bleeding is easy fill the reservoir and start pumping the pedal. If ABS turn on the igntion to prime the system first. Start at the caliper fathest from the reservoir if LHD that will be the RH rear. Then LH rear RH front you get the picture. Took me 20min with the wife on the pedal.
Using a long tube and heamostats makes it easier.

If the system was completely empty start with bench bleeding the master. Then gravity bleed the entire system first. Make sure the master never goes empty. Once it has gravity bled and no more bubbles are coming out of the bleeders then you can do regular bleeding. Gravity bleeding first will save a ton of pedal pumping.
