Has anybody else had this problem? The display on the clock at the MIL stays on all the time. Is it supposed to stay on? I just got the car when my dad passed away recently, and haven't really been around it to know its little nuances for almost 25 years, but I have faint memories of the clock always being on, but worry that is a battery drain on a car that doesn't get driven all to often.

 

What's the point of a clock that turns off when you stop the engine ? You'd have to reset the time every time you went out in the car ! Some cars, (not sure about Jaguar), have a clock battery, to avoid the main battery running down if the car is left a long time.
