When first I first realized it was dark, and I had no idea how to operate the headlights (and it's dark), I figured perusing the owner's manual might not be a bad idea.

So, it's interesting; the glove box contained an XJ-S Handbook, part no JJM 18 02 03/20. However, the binding is shot, the pages are loose, but it appears they are all there in order except for the first two (pages 1-4). So I'm poking around the intertubes and getting the usual near-misses. Service manuals, yes; owner's no. I didn't find a link here or at jaguar.com, although it seems they do have some manuals online.

I'm also getting indications that this part no is for '92 and there is an additional supplement for '93? Is this manual supposed to cover both V12 and I6? The (few) engine diagrams are all appear to be for the V12.

I am in the same boat. The owners manual that came with my 1993 I6 XJS is from 1992, and seems to be specific to the V12. I also do not have the supplement if one came with the car.

 

Has anyone here dealt with jaguarliterature.com? It appears they're selling older replacement car manuals. All I really wanted was an electronic copy, but if there is some kind of supplemental manual I'm missing, I'd be tempted to register there.

 

Check e-bay from time to time. I've seen the supplemental manuals for the '93 listed on several occasions. It is titled, "XJS Supplement". Part JJM 18 02 03/205.

I am new here and it seems there a several folks looking for an electronic version of the owners manual. I too am wondering what lights should be working when and how the climate controls really work. You can always take the old manual into a quick print shop
and have the spine cutoff, then rebound with one of those
plastic coil bindings.

 

I have a supplement for my '93 4.0. It is from jaguar and was printed in '92, which is okay for me, since my Jag was actually made in September of '92. I'll try and attach it to this reply. (45 pages)
