I am confused about the operation of my temperature potentiometer.
If I turn the potentiometer to 50% of its travel you can see that the pointer on the knob does not align with the numbers of the scale (photos attached). I am the second owner of this car and after talking to the original owner the potentiometer has never been replaced. Someone on another forum suggested I have the wrong knob.
My research indicates the part# for the knob is LHD7699BA which no one has in stock.
The knob should rotate clockwise from low to high (65 to 85). Turn the knob all of the way counterclockwise, pull it off and see if you can remount it pointing to 65. Somebody probably buggered it up.
