95 XJS convertible water leak?
We've been getting alot rain the last few days & I'm getting a little bit of water leaking through both corners of the roof where it meets the windshield. It almost seems like the side windows need to go up a hair more so they're tighter against the roof weatherstripping. It drips right on the edges of the front seats. I put towels there last night, hopefully they will catch the water. Any one know what to do. By the time I got to work my pants were soaked.
The hooks on the latches are adjustable. Now, I don't know if that's your problem or not, nor how tight they can be made without buggering the seals up front, but it may be worth checking.
I noticed a leak there on mine a while back when the rains were very heavy, and I'm going to tighten them a bit next time the weather threatens, to see if it helps.
That's never been the real irritation for me, though. The most annoying thing is all the water than ends up on the seats every time I open the door.
