Aftermarket stereo wiring question
Heres my dilemma I am trying to match wires from an old stock alpine unit to a new CDE-147BT and 1 wire has no match.
There is a pink/white wire in position #2 on the original harness but the new harness has no cable in position #2 but 2 left over cables. Orange in position #3 and blue/white in position #10.
Where should the pink/white go?

pink/white wire on Alpine harness is illumination dimmer control wire.
blue/white is remote on for amplifier
blue is remote on for antenna same function and signal as blue/white
orange is illumination dimmer on older alpine radios this used to be pink/white
before you make any connections verify using a MultiMeter
here you can download a manual for your alpine CDE-147BT. somewhere at the end see index you'll find the wiring diagram.
