Default AJ6 Shell bearings

Hi all,

I have a spare AJ6 head i want to port and put on my locost but i cant work out how to remove the old camshaft shell bearings. They all seem to have gone a dark orange colour (overheated?). Can they be removed?

No bearings, just the caps.

Are replacement caps available?

if caps are replaced often have to rebore bearing tunnels, also if overheated, head should be straightened(made flat) first,then rebored cam tunnels.

simply put a used head could need a lot of work.
