Another stalls when warm thread
Hi all, I did use the thread search but I couldn't find the same issue.
I have a 1990 v12 with a Marelli system.
The car runs until warm 30 mins and shuts down. I've been on the side of the road three times in the last week
When tested there is no spark at the plugs, but there is power at the coils 12+ volts
I'm not much good at electrical problems but I can do as I'm told and do some testing, I just don't know what to test.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, 30 mins. at a time is not enough in a Jag
It has new wires, plugs, "dizzy" and rotor, with the silicone trick done to the inside of the rotor about 2000kms ago.
Thanks

So... I started with the crank position sensors, 2 are fitted 1 at flywheel and 1 at front pulley.
Tested them cold 800 ohms each +/- a couple
Ran car until it stalled (30mins. or so) and retested. The back one at the flywheel 800 ohms
The front one at the pulley 30 ohms
New crank position sensor is on order
