AntiLock Brakes
all that means is that your ABS doesn't function, my 88 doesnt have ABS at all and i have no problems with it.
anyhoo, first thing to check is the speed sensors and everything out at the ends that tends to get dirty. is a 1994 OBDI ? Take it somewhere to have the code read.

Might just be a hiccup. Had it happen to me once. I just disconnected the battery and then reconnected it. When I re-started the car all was fine and the light never came on again. I made sure to test the anti-lock was working and it indeed was.
I had that problem once.
The toothed reluctor wheel inside the right rear hub had come loose. The wheel speed sensor picked this up as a wheel speed problem....loss of signal, I guess. Only happened on left turns.
The reluctor wheel would no longer firmly press-fit onto the hub shaft. I used Loctite to keep it in place.
I'm sure there are other possibilities.
Cheers
