First and foremost, WELCOME.
When time permits please do an intro in the "New Members.........." area.
Where is Larbert???, I will assume the US of A.
The seat squab is the same up to about 1986ish, on the Coupe versions of the XJ-S, but the Black colour was really only in those very early versions. If you find a squab that is a different colour, any decent auto trimmer will colour change it very easily.

Hi Grant,
Thank you for your welcome, and the info - just what I needed!
I did fill in something, but I am a bit new to this - so I probably pressed the wrong button - I will try again!!!!!!!!
Larbert is in central Scotland - between Edinburgh & Glasgow - by-the-way!
I do have a spare complete interior for the car - in cinnamon or russet - (muddy brown) - so I can change the colour in the bit I need - brilliant!

Welcome to the forum. If you want a brand new seat then Black Country Jaguars have all the ex Jaguar NoS seats, loads of them. Worth giving them a call, in the West Midlands.

Scotland it is, so RHD, good thing that.
Greg is a wealth of knowledge, and I now know something also, tah Greg.

Dear Greg & Grant,
Thank you so much for the amazing info - and so quickly!
The car (1978 Lister body kit XJS) is off a week on Saturday with everything out except the engine re-spray in signal red! Fabulous!
It has to be ready For Bo'ness Hillclimb Revival 1st weekend in September, as Jaguar driver's Club Scotland has a Class competing and a show stand.
I think I will be looking for lots of help to put it together again - as it was my late husband who took it to bits! So look out for my posts!!!!!
Cheers & thanks again,
Barbara.

And the fun begins.
Like a HUGE mecanno set for those that know what I am talking about.
Greg and I have been in that area before, and the cells still remember what we did to get to the end, so help is at hand, thank God for the internet, mmmm.
Ours were both HE XJ-S's.
Then.
This is a Rover P3 1948 that arrived at my place in crates, as the owner pulled it apart looking for a water leak at the front of the engine, and got lost, oops. I got conned into putting it back together as a semi-restoration, and after 3 years it left the building under its own power, and when the body shop and upholsterer finish it will return for final fitout of lights etc.
