I've been trying to acquire several XJS bonnet badges in the dark bronze/chrome finish and so far they have matched my former XJS badge I already had.
I ordered three more from two UK sellers and when I sent photos of what I was doing, they said theirs are a different finish. They say that USA got a gloss blackened finish, but UK was a flat gun metal. From what I can find, this is not true!!
And also, reading both sellers, in the fine print state these are newly produced from the original manufacturer.
My gut says these may be knock offs and not original at all.
I need four matching original finished badges for my custom wheel centers.
Any truth in different badges on original UK vs USA cars?

When you find a vendor, please let me know. I need a new badge, but, I've heard that it's been impossible to find the dark bronze badges for several years now.

 

I'd be interested in the dark bronze as well...
