Default Brake Lights not working but fuse not blown under dash

I need to know if there is a relay I'm not finding, or inline fuse I'm not recognizing in the trunk? I have a service manual that shows one on each side, just not seeing them.

What year is your car?

On my 94, there is a brake light switch on the brake pedal assembly.

There is a brake light fuse in the passenger side fuse block which is under the right side dash.

There is a brake light relay in the left rear trunk panel. The relay is blue and is above the ABS module.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Allan

Early XJS had a small 3pin relay on each side of rear inner guard screwed to a panel on the boot or trunk rubber lip. you will need to remove side covers to locate them.you may not see them but if you reach up you should be able to feel them .hope this helps

Cheers Ray
