Default Brake pad installation question

See bottom right....
Hi all,
finishing reassembling my rear cage after dropping it to replace rotors, calipers, e brakes, shocks and springs.
I bought rebuilt calipers from Summit Racing. When installing the pads, the position of the pins seems weird to me. The length of the pins and the position of the hole for the clip actually allows for the pin to pull out of the end hole in the caliper. These are the pins that came with the caliper, so I have assumed they were the right ones.
I ordered a new set just in case, but has anyone seen this before? Is it normal?? See the pic above.

thanks!!

The pins on my calipers have two holes, 90 degrees off from each other. The other set should get the pin into the far side of the caliper.

Agreed, that is not correct.

The pin head should be up in its very shallow hollow, or against the face of the caliper.

Its been too many years since I was at them, but that is wrong.

Either the pins are drilled wrong, or they are the front caliper pins by mistake.

Thanks. That would certainly be the smartest way to manufacture them. Mine have only one set.
hoping the ones I just ordered fit better.

Thanks Grant. Good thought that they sent front pins. Definitely possible.
will figure it out.

Yep wrong. Also make sure you grease the pins so the pads slide well on them.

So I ordered a new set of pins. They were exactly same and too short.
finally drilled a second set of holes that ended up working well, but dumb stuff....
